Members of the ICAI are known as Chartered Accountants
Only a member of ICAI can be appointed as statutory auditor of an Indian company under the Companies Act, 2013.
Practicing Chartered Accountant,Practicing Chartered Accountants or CA Firm
Any person who is granted membership of the Institute becomes an Associate Chartered Accountant and is entitled to use the letters A.C.A. after his name.
Any member wanting to engage in public practice has to first apply for and obtain a Certificate of Practice from the Council of ICAI.Only members holding a Certificate of Practice may act as auditors or certify documents required by various tax and financial regulatory authorities in India
The CA course is designed to combine theoretical study with practical training or CA Course backed by theoretical and practical knowledge
- To begin CA Articleship student should pass at least Group 1 (not necessarily Both Groups) of IPCE and should have completed ITT of 100 Hours
- The unique requirement of practical training is instrumental in shaping a well-rounded professional
- Total Duration: 3 years
- Last 1 year student can join for Industrial Training
- Stipend is paid during the Articleship period
